caseyCasey Tyler Smith, MEP®, Investment Advisor Representative
President – Principal

Casey earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Finance from Berry College, Rome, Georgia and earned his Series 7 and 66 while employed with financial firm in Atlanta. Unhappy with the brokerage product pushing agenda, Casey became a Registered Investment Advisor and formed CT Smith Financial Services in June 2001 which later became Wiser Wealth Management to better reflect the firms service offerings. Casey has earned the Master of Estate Preservation designation and has attended tax training school in order to better manage his clients wealth.

Casey is a member of the Marietta Business Association, serves on the board of Hughes Poly Add, Inc, Laney Holdings Inc, the Planned Giving Council of Berry College, Berry College Alumni Council, The Berry College Campbell School of Business Executive Advisory Committee, the Berry Student Run Enterprises Advisory Board and Atlantic Southeast Airlines Airline Pilots Association (ASA ALPA) Retirement and Insurance Committee.

Also a pilot, Casey has commerical aviation experience and enjoys flying and golf. He and his family live near the Marietta Square and attend the Church of The Apostles (www.apostles.org) in Atlanta.

CamJames Cameron “Cam” Wilbur, Investment Advisor Representative
Executive Vice President of Business Development

Cam graduated from the University of Georgia in May of 2001 with a Bachelors of Business Administration and a major in Finance.  He then went to work for Southern Company in Atlanta GA, as a Financial Analyst. During his time at Southern Company Cam has worked in numerous areas within Corporate Finance.

Cam also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA), with a concentration in Finance from Georgia State University.  Cam graduated from Georgia State in May 2006 after attending evening classes while working full-time for Southern Company. Cam joined Wiser Wealth Management as Executive Vice President of Business Development in 2007; shortly thereafter he completed the Series 65 to become an Investment Advisor Representative. Cam’s primary role at Wiser is to seek and maintain new clients.

Cam serves on the Young Alumni Board for The University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business.  Cam, his wife Alison, and his son Carson live in Kennesaw and attend Cedarcrest Church in Acworth.  Cam is actively involved at Cedarcrest Church where he teaches 8th grade Sunday School.  He enjoys playing golf, spending time with his family, going to Georgia football games, and watching sports.

Cam is currently a candidate for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.

KyleKyle Waller, Research Analyst

Kyle graduated from Berry College with a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Finance. Kyle’s role at Wiser Wealth Management is to research new ways of indexing, keep updated on current trends in the financial markets, maintain the Wiser Blog and monitor the performance of existing client accounts.

Kyle writes a monthly article for IndexUniverse.com, has had articles accepted by SeekingAlpha.com and writes for the Wiser blog at wiserinvestor.com.

Kyle is currently a candidate for the Level 1 Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam.

Kim MacConnell, CPA

Kim has been providing tax services for Wiser Wealth Managment for over 5 years. Prior to Wiser she worked at a large accounting firm in Atlanta.

Doug Shaddix, Attorney at Law

Doug Shaddix grew up in the Atlanta area and received his undergraduate degree in Political Science at Georgia State University in 1978. After graduation, he worked for a Congressman while attending law school.  Upon the election of President Reagan, he put his legal education on hold to move to Washington, D.C. for eight years where he served in the Reagan Administration working in International Trade at the Department of Commerce and the Republican National Committee as “Specialist, Coalition Development”.

After the Reagan years, Doug returned to Atlanta to complete his law degree, cum laude, and spent several years with the Atlanta-based law firm of King & Spalding.

He left there and created his own firm, Wealth Preservation Solutions, LLC, where he practices in the areas of Asset Protection, Estate Planning and entity formation.  His firm specializes in setting up corporations and limited liability companies, as well as various trusts such as Revocable Living Trusts, Land Trusts, Charitable Remainder Trusts and Personal Property Trusts for clients with Asset Protection and Estate Planning needs.

Doug is an active member of the community, having served on the Cobb Board of Elections, has held positions with the State Bar, with his alma mater, his political party and with his church. Doug has been married for 22 years and is the proud father of 3 young daughters.

LatrelleLaTrelle Allen, Client Support

LaTrelle joined Wiser in 2002. LaTrelle assists in the daily chores of maintaining client files, communications with clients and assisting with various office projects. LaTrelle works in the office part time.
