caseyCasey Tyler Smith, Investment Advisor Representative
President – Principal

Casey earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Finance from Berry College, Rome, Georgia and earned his Series 7 and 66 while employed with a financial firm in Atlanta. Unhappy with the brokerage product pushing agenda, Casey became a Registered Investment Advisor and formed CT Smith Financial Services in June 2001, which later became Wiser Wealth Management, to better reflect the firm’s service offerings. Casey has earned the Master of Estate Preservation designation and has attended the National Tax Training school in order to better manage his clients wealth.

Casey serves on the board of the Laona M. Kitchen Foundation, the Planned Giving Council of Berry College, The Berry College Campbell School of Business Executive Advisory Committee, the Berry Student Run Enterprises Advisory Board, Berry College Board of Visitors and Atlantic Southeast Airlines Airline Pilots Association (ASA ALPA) Retirement and Insurance Committee as a “401k Specialist.” Casey writes a financial related column for the Dallas New Era paper. Casey has been quoted in the New York Times, Barron’s, The Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger Magazine, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Marietta Daily Journal, Your Trading Edge Magazine, Financial Advisor Magazine, Index Universe.com, Seeking Alpha.com, CNN Radio as well as spoken at the Art of Indexing Summit 2010 New York, Inside ETFs 2009,2010 Boca Raton, 2012 Hollywood FL, Inside ETFs Europe 2010 Amsterdam, ETF Summit 2009 Singapore, ETF Conference Shanghai 2012, Global Indexing & ETF 2012, Phoenix, and Standard and Poors 2011, 2012 Atlanta Advisor Workshop. Casey is also on the planning committee for the 2013 IMN Boston ETF Conference. Casey was named in 2010 as one of Cobb County’s rising stars in Cobb Life Magazine, Berry College Alumni of the Year and Atlanta Magazines 2011 & 2012 Wealth Manager of the Year.

Also a pilot, Casey has commercial aviation experience and enjoys flying and golf. He and his family live near the Marietta Square and attend the Church of The Apostles (apostles.org) in Atlanta. Casey is a member of Marietta Country Club.

Sonja M. Gonzalez, Investment Advisor Representative
Client Management and Planning

Sonja earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from William Jewell College.  She earned her Series 7, and her 65/63 for her Investment Advisor Representative, while employed with a financial firm in Atlanta serving metro Atlanta schools and hospitals. Feeling the need to provide a fuller scope of services to her clients, Sonja joined Wiser Wealth Management. Sonja is the firms lead financial planner and also participates in portfolio management and firm planning. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association.

Sonja, her husband Hector and her two sons, live in Marietta and attend Hickory Baptist Church. Sonja is a Cub Scout leader, enjoys spending time with family and relaxing with a good book.

Cam

James Cameron “Cam” Wilbur, Investment Advisor Representative
Business Development

Cam graduated from the University of Georgia in May of 2001 with a Bachelors of Business Administration and a major in Finance. He then went to work for Southern Company in Atlanta GA, as a Financial Analyst. During his time at Southern Company, Cam has worked in numerous areas within Corporate Finance.

Cam also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance from Georgia State University. Cam graduated from Georgia State in May 2006 after attending evening classes while working full-time for Southern Company. Cam joined Wiser Wealth Management as Executive Vice President of Business Development in 2007; shortly thereafter, he completed the Series 65 to become an Investment Advisor Representative. Cam’s primary role at Wiser is to seek and maintain new clients.

Cam serves on the Young Alumni Board for The University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. Cam, his wife Alison and his son Carson live in Kennesaw and attend Cedarcrest Church in Acworth, where he teaches 8th grade Sunday School. He enjoys playing golf, spending time with his family, going to Georgia football games and watching sports.

Kim MacConnell, CPA

Kim earned her Bachelors of Accounting at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA in 1992 and her Masters of Taxation in 1995. She then went to work at the Industrial Bank of Japan and later Tarpley & Underwood, PC in Atlanta. Kim has prepared tax returns for Wiser Wealth Management Clients since 2003.
